On the location of Hotel Nassau Breda there were once three court houses: Waelwijk, Bruheze and Assendelft. There lived noble families associated with the court of the Nassaus. In the course of time, the monumental buildings were often rebuilt, only the octagonal turret of House Assendelft still reminds us of the first design.
The complex stood empty for many years and was completely neglected, but was restored with the arrival of Hotel Nassau Breda with great attention to historical details.
